The latest release of Minster Logistics now supports the Minster Voice Enabled Warehouse Management System.
This 'state of the art' system covers all aspects of the warehousing operation including Receipt of Goods, Put-Away, Replenishment, Picking, Marshalling, Loading, Full Stock Takes and Perpetual Inventory Stock Takes.
Central to the system is the Voice Management Console.

This powerful facility allows all warehousing activity to be monitored, controlled and progressed, starting with a high level view of each activity, with a graphical indication of progress towards completion of the current warehouse workload, with drill down options to monitor the progress of individual tasks and the operators performing them.
The console includes an alerts panel that instantly highlights issues requiring urgent management attention, such as empty picking locations or where a picking shortage has been detected.
The system can utilise various devices including, for example, Talkman T2 Voice terminals, which can provide efficient 'hands-free' operation in all areas of the warehouse including the freezer.
The system has been live at the Nield Group and 3663’s distribution depots for some time and is already delivering significant benefits. |

Mick Worrell, the Nield Group Depot Operations Manager has stated:
'We now have complete confidence to allow our pickers to assemble orders without the need for expensive and time-consuming secondary checking. Verification codes on the products and the picking locations ensure that the correct product is always picked. Another benefit has been the elimination of the picking confirmation process and the ability to monitor picking progress in real-time throughout the day.'
The Voice Modules are also installed at 3663's major distribution hubs at Royton and Banbury and at their new distribution depot in Lichfield.
Phil Oliver, 3663 Supply Chain Manager reports:
'At 3663 First for Foodservice, we are deploying a Voice Directed Warehouse Management System (WMS) within the Logistics Division.
We have selected our current software provider, Minster Logistics, to develop this for us as they have an in- depth understanding of our operation, which they have gained over many years supporting our business. The system they are developing covers all warehouse activities from Goods In, Putaway, Replenishment, Picking, Marshalling and Loading.
It will also encompass Perpetual Inventory and Stock Counts and is being deployed in phases over the coming weeks in three of our depots.'
