The module can be installed as a traditional paper-based system, or in full ‘Voice-Controlled’ mode.

Fully Voice Controlled Warehouse Management

The system includes a fully voice enabled Warehouse Management System. This ‘state of the art’ module covers all aspects of the warehouse operation including Receipt of Goods, Put-Away, Replenishment of Picking Locations, Picking, Marshalling of Picked Goods/Pallets, Loading of Vehicles, Full Stock Takes and Perpetual Inventory. The module removes the need for paper documents within the warehouse, and allows operators to work in full ‘hands free’ mode.

It is a fully automated, real-time system utilising, among other devices, Talkman ® T2 Voice terminals. All instructions are relayed to the operators via headsets, and they confirm their actions by speaking into a microphone. This removes the need for paper documents, and allows true ‘hands free’ working throughout all areas of the warehouse, including specialist environments, including freezers. The system continually monitors the warehouse activity and the outstanding tasks.
It automatically changes priorities and co-ordinates the tasks to achieve the greatest efficiency. The system is totally real-time, so it knows exactly when each picking operation takes place, and it can therefore ensure that replenishment movements are actioned at exactly the right time.
In addition to improved efficiency, the Minster Voice Controlled WMS results in increased accuracy. Verification codes on locations, products, pallets, vehicles etc. are quoted by the operators and are checked in real-time to ensure that operators are at the correct location; are picking the correct product; are loading the correct pallet onto the correct vehicle etc.

Shelf Life Control  / Batch Traceability

Minster’s Shelf Life Control module ensures that customers’ ‘best before’ date requirements are satisfied and that stock is rotated correctly.

In the event of a particular batch or delivery of goods needing to be traced, the system provides full tracking facilities from goods receipt, through the warehouse and out to customers.  Therefore, only the ‘problem’ batch needs to be identified. The software reports locations and customers that have received the product.
